This Australian Children’s Park Could Be The Coolest In The World

The Blaxland Riverside Park in Sydney Olympic Park in Australia was designed by JMD Design and is proving to be one of the coolest children’s entertainment parks in the world. The park was officially opened on June 1st 2012 and makes extensive use of the 300 meters wide of land to house a variety of play experiences and elements that cater to the entire family. The Park features tunnel slides, embankment slides, a climbing net, flying fox, sand pit and a waterplay disc that houses 170 jets, a treehouse that overlooks the entire playground and provides great views of the Parramatta River. The tree house is made out of galvanized steel fibrous cement sheeting, timber batten walls and stainless steel mesh – these wonderful (and in most cases, sustainable) materials are used together to form a super cool modular structure that bares no resemblance to the traditional treehouse (and for this, we love it!). This giant playground for kids earns points with us for its fun colours, contemporary design, fun architecture and giant-scale play areas.
