From reading reports on the matter, it appears that Nas and the late Amy Winehouse were pretty close. Brought together by artists like Salaam Remi, who produced their collaborative track “Cherry Wine”, their distinct vocal deliveries complemented each other seamlessly. While we would have loved to see more music materialize, which we hope happens some day soon, “Cherry Wine” is one of the most bittersweet symphonies to touch down in 2012.

Today, we also get our hands on the highly anticipated visuals that accompany the composition. Featuring a classy club setting, Winehouse’s silhouette is sprayed across the rustic brick walls as Nas plays bartender in some vintage getup. The addition of Winehouse in the film was tasteful and well-crafted, making us miss the soulful songstress all that much more.
