Getter first appeared on my radar over a year ago when he released his monstrous remix of Flux Pavilion’s Bass Cannon and since then he’s only progressed in fame and sound.   Recently announced as part of Datsik’s Firepower Records Tour, Getter has been on a roll releasing track after track on heavy-hitter labels like Rottun, Ultragore, and more.  He’s released quite a few of his originals and remixes via Soundcloud, and today he’s got a new one, “Knocked”

In listening to quite a few of his tunes, it’s clear that Tanner Petulla has got a unique crunchy sound.  With bits of 8-bit and transformer sounds, you might something a bit played out, but something about it just different; just check out his stellar remix of the famous Mt. Eden lovestep track “Sierra Leone”

With “Knocked”, Getter has taken a clear Datsik influence with his slowed, almost chopped and screwed like pace, and slimey and grimey bass.  I couldn’t help but think of an earlier Datsik releases, specifically one of my personal favorites “Nuke ‘EM” While not on the same level of production as Datsik right now, he does have some killer remixes.  Consider this an introduction if you don’t know him yet.
