Aaron Sorkin‘s “The Newsroom” debuted to 2.1 million viewers on Sunday night, but if you weren’t one of them, you’re in luck — HBO has decided to make the first episode available for free to non-subscribers. You can find the episode on HBO.com, YouTube, DailyMotion, TV.com, on various free on-demand platforms, and iTunes.

Reviews of the show were certainly mixed, with some critics applauding Sorkin’s trademark speeches and messages, and others claiming the show felt self-congratulatory and preachy. HBO is confident enough in it to release it for free, with the assumption that fans will enjoy it and subscribe for the remaining episodes.
